I have a roommate that has beautiful hair, and pretty much beautiful everything. Well, I noticed that she has a bottle of horse shampoo and I was totally shocked! Her hair is beautiful, shiny, thick and full of volume, but I am wondering if her hair is naturally like that, or if the horse shampoo really does work. I have decided to turn to the internet, the source of all sources. So, horse shampoos are designed to clean, thicken and condition the mane and tail of horses. Since, human hair and horse hair are similar in construction; the shampoo will do much the same for both. However, you should be aware that these products work by swelling the hair shaft, leaving it feeling rougher and more straw-like, and may not be good for those with very fine hair. Fine hair could be damaged by the swelling action. So, as I read the different articles, they specify that the best way to strengthen and grow hair is to take the proper vitamins and condition your hair properly. They say that getting enough protein in your diet is also very important since that hair is made up mostly of keratinized protein.
